Abstract

In this research, which is performed for the first time in Iran, a novel photoreactive material was synthesized by the coupling reaction of gelatin with a photo-cross-linkable material (N-(4-azidobenzoyloxy) succinimide). The synthesized material was analyzed using UV-vis spectroscopy, and FT-IR followed by immobilization onto the various surfaces of glass using laser irradiation (i.e. CO2 Laser). Then this pattern was confirmed by optical microscopy. It is concluded that unmodified gelatin could not be immobilized onto the surfaces. This is the main advantage of this biomaterial, which shows by inserting photoreactive group, immobilization could occur, and that gelatin could be easily fixed on the various surfaces using only electromagnetic fields.
